My Story

Franco is a shy 5yo in search of a paw-some family! He was found in critical condition after being attacked by other animals, so he is easily scared by loud noises/quick movements and would do best in a quiet home with no small children. Franco will need a patient adopter who is dedicated to helping him overcome his fears and anxieties. Rest assured, when he is given the time and space to come out of his shell and connect and build trust, he will quickly let his playful and sweet personality shine! Once he creates a bond with someone and feels safe, he is a total velcro dog and will even guard you while you're on the toilet. He is most energetic in the mornings and will demand alllllll of the booty rubs upon waking. Franco is house trained, walks wonderfully on a leash, LOVES napping in small corners of the house after long walks/car rides, and absolutely cannot resist a good swim in the lake. Franco also has epilepsy, which is easily managed with anti-seizure medication and blood work every six months for the rest of his life. While he may have scars and trauma, Franco is fiercely loyal and would be the perfect dog for the right situation. We are confident this gentle boy will thrive with stability and lots of love. Please contact Mazie's Mission today if you think this big bear would be the perfect match for you!
