My Story

Frankie is just a calm mellow dude whose favorite thing to do is chill. The only thing he will seek out from you is love. Frankie loves to play a bit, nap, chill and get love from you. Frankie was adopted, but sadly returned to rescue when his owners had a health crisis. This was no fault of his. Here's what his family had to say - Frankie is a Total love bug and wants to be with you always, even in the shower. He loves to go for long rides in the truck and just lays down in the back seat. He isn’t bothered if you get out and leave him in the truck while shopping or having breakfast. He is good with potty time and had no accidents in our house. He has adapted to stairways, TV, the Washing machine, the Dryer and the Computer speakers. Frankie sleeps through the night on his bed next to my bed and stays down until I get up and take him outside. He loves to play fetch and go for walks, he loves to chew on beef cheek strips, he adores all the attention you can give him. Frankie was a breeder release and had minimal socialization before arriving here at CPR. For Frankie, most every interaction and encounters are new experiences to him. Most breeder-release dogs take a while to adjust to their new environments and experiences. Not Frankie. He has adapted well. He is not fearful, but curious. When entering a new environment or encountering something he's never seen before he needs a few minutes to process the situation before adapting to it, sometimes a little reassurance helps. We believe he will have no problem adapting to his new forever home. Frankie has lived in a home with cats. He does not instigate chasing a cat, but will chase them if they run. He has never tried to harm a cat, but does find them curious. Frankie is a big boy that needs to live in a house rather than an apartment. Frankie is a chill dude who would like to hang out with his new family. However, he has a playful side and would love to romp around with kids, those aged 10 or older would be best for him. After playing he most likely will be ready for a nap. Frankie will need to be taught the basic commands like sit, stay, come, etc. and how to walk on a leash. He has been tested with cats and small dogs and was curious about both, but showed no issues toward them in a meet and greet environment.
