This 4-year-old lab has endured a past filled with hardship, but his heart remains full of love.? Freddy's early life was marked by neglect and suffering. Found as a stray in Alabama, he was severely emaciated, suffering from demodex and a severe skin fungal infection. The scar around his neck from a collar revealed a painful history of being chained up, never knowing the warmth of a loving touch. When Road to Home learned about Freddy several months ago, we knew we had to step in. Alongside our rescue affiliate, we treated all of Freddy's physical ailments, including his heartworm diagnosis. Though we can heal his body, the mental scars from his past may take time to fade. Despite everything he's been through, Freddy is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you'll ever meet. His goofy personality brings joy to everyone around him, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people.
