ADOPTED! - We have great news about Frito! He has now recovered from his surgery (see below) and he has already found his loving "forever" home (with a veterinarian who fell in love with him when she saw him on Petfinder)! Many thanks to ALL the wonderful people who read about his plight, and who donated generously to help make little Frito's surgery possible..... .
My name is Frito and I'm a very sweet little 4-month old Chihuahua mix puppy. One Starfish Rehoming Connections rescued me from a puppy mill breeder who was going to kill me because I couldn't eat solid food without vomiting. As it turned out, I had a medical problem (which I was born with) called a "persistent right aortic arch"--which means a blood vessel was obstructing the base of my esophagus, keeping food from going into my tummy.
Lucky for me, a number of kind hearted and generous people read about my plight here on Petfinder, and the rescue who took me in was able to have a surgery done to help me. I'm still recovering now, but hopefully by mid to late December my doctor will give me the "go-ahead" to be neutered, after which time I should be ready for adoption.
