They sing of longing, hope, and the perfect belly rub. “Sounds of Silence (Except When Treats Are Involved)” Initially, Garfunkel was stage-frightened by all the unfamiliar sounds—the clatter of kibble bowls, the crescendo of barking, and the occasional off-key rendition of “Who Let the Dogs Out?” But fear not! We’ve reassured him that he’s safe and sound, and now he’s ready to serenade you with his sweet demeanor. “Bridge to Your Lap” Garfunkel is a lap-climber extraordinaire. To be as close to you as possible. “Leash Me Up Before You Go-Go” Now, about leash training: Garfunkel’s previous life was more “Freebird” than “Heel!” But fear not, fellow dog lovers! With patience and time, he’s learning the art of leash walking. Basic commands? Piece of cake! Just cue the treats, and he’ll be jamming to “Sit,” “Stay,” and “Roll Over” in no time. “Sweet Home Kennel-abama” Garfunkel takes pride in keeping his kennel space tidy. Rare—unless it’s an overnight whoopsie from holding it a bit longer than he is used to. “Ticks and Stones May Break My Bones, But Lyme Disease Won’t Stop Me” During his initial intake, we discovered a few ticks clinging to Garfunkel’s coat. The Vet tested him for Lyme Disease, and guess what? Positive. Fear not, though—Garfunkel’s treatment plan is as smooth as a vinyl groove. “Simon Says: Adopt Garfunkel!” Garfunkel’s backstage pass includes a special feature: his dog friend, Simon. They’re like a duet destined for the charts, both looking for their own happy ending. Garfunkel has not met any other dog friends here, but because of his close relationship with Simon we are optimistic that he will do just fine in a home with other dog friends. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
