My Story

PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION GATOR IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT COULD COME TO IOWA ON ANY UPCOMING TRANSPORT Gator is one of our flood rescue dogs back in May, we got a call from a concerned citizen about some animals that were left behind during a flood. Warden and his friends were rescued by airboat, and after some investigation it was discovered, they did have owners who left them behind - they unfortunately could not go back to their owner. We have since got their medical needs met and rehabbed them and they are all ready for their furever homes! Gator is approximately 3 years old and a mix of some kind of terrier and boxer. A note from his foster: Gator is the goofiest boy around; he loves all dogs he meets and seems to be okay with the livestock at his fosters home. He doesn't pay much attention to the cats either (when rescued he was in a small RV with 7 other dogs and a cat) Gator is so loyal, comes when called and aims to please. As long as he has a routine, he does not have any accidents in his area. He would make a great addition to your family! Gator is unfortunately heartworm positive, but the good news is we have completed his treatment with our vet here and he is ready for adoption. We recommend retesting him in 6 months. Don't let this deter you, please don't hesitate to ask any questions regarding this. Gator is neutered, current on vaccinations, monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped.
