Available for adoption or foster to adopt! Meet Gela! (previously Angela) Positives: Gela is a wonderful girl who has been thriving at her foster home in Squamish, BC. She’s extremely sweet, loving and seeks out affection from her people through kisses and cuddles. She has this funny habit that if you aren’t giving her attention, she will go grab one of your shoes to try and get you to pay attention to her. She is extremely loyal and bonds very strongly with her people. She does very well with other dogs and has been great with puppies. She also spends time at the dog park and has had no issues. We have found that she has turned into a great outdoor adventure dog. She has worked with her new foster to be able to go off leash in trail settings and stays close by to her foster , always checking in. Gela really enjoys her toys, loves to chew on her bone and free grazes with her food. She’s crate trained and is fine sleeping in it and potty trained. She is incredibly smart and we think would do really well with a job. She’s very in tune with her peoples emotions and could be a good emotional support dog. We think that she would do well living with another dog that is more dominant as she truly follows the pack hierarchy. She is non-destructive and does not show any signs at this time of resource guarding with food or toys. Things she needs support on: Angela needs someone who can give her structure, time to transition into their home, and teach her some basic manners such as not jumping up on people when excited to see them. Since she is incredibly smart, she would need someone who is a strong lead and can give her focus. She has shown that she can be insecure and will need someone who can build up her confidence, but also set boundaries. She is a submissive dog, but every once in a while will try to assert her dominance with other dogs when she’s feeling insecure. Location: Squamish, BC Age: 5 Years Old Size: 35lbs
