My Story

At 7 months old and 52 lbs of pure love and enthusiasm, Ginger is the ultimate bundle of joy and energy! This playful pup loves nothing more than snuggling up after a day of exploration, preferring to get as close to you as possible for maximum cuddle time. Ginger's passions include destroying stuffed toys in record time being the ultimate fetch champion! She'll chase down a tennis ball with the speed and precision of a pro athlete, and her wagging tail is the perfect victory dance. While Ginger loves everyone, her excitement might be a bit too much for the little ones. She may be more suited to a home with older kids who can keep up with her enthusiastic energy! Ginger's a quick learner and is mastering the leash (she's getting better every day!) She gets along well with other dogs and has shown curiosity for cats but no aggression, just a friendly sniff or two. She's a pro at house training, sleeps soundly in her kennel, and rarely barks. Her jumping skills are impressive-she can clear a 4.5 ft fence with ease, so a secure yard is a must. Ginger is always ready for an adventure and does well with car rides, making her the perfect companion for an active family. If you're looking for a loyal friend who will bring joy, playfulness, and a bit of excitement to your life, Ginger is the pup for you! When Ginger came to Lucky13, she had Ehrlichosis. Ehrlichiosis is a disease that develops in dogs after being bitten by an infected tick. She was treated and has not had any issues since. If needed down the road, certain antibiotics, such as doxycycline are quite effective. This is the treatment of choice as it is easily accessible and generally well tolerated. Ginger will come with age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, microchipped and up to date on heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.
