Godiva, or Diva as we call her, was part of a group of 13 dogs living in a hoarding situation. She spent the first 8 months of her life with very little human contact and no socialization, which reflects on her behavior now. She is sweet, but shy, and will require a much longer decompression period than others. She would do best in a quiet home, other pets are fine, but older children would be preferred. She is on the smaller side, about 30-35lbs.
Her and her companions have made quite the journey from where they started to now, and have made progress learning that humans aren't so scary. DIva walks nicely on leash, and is very close with her handler who has done her training with her as part of RUFF, our program where dogs learn and practice skills such as good social behaviors, boundaries, and basic obedience.
