Hi there! My name is Goldie and I'm a 1.5-year-old pup who has had a bit of a rough start in life. Thankfully, I was rescued by A Rejoyceful Animal Rescue after an outreach partner plead for help for me and my 10 pups. I'm happy to say that all of my pups have found their forever homes, but I'm still searching for the perfect family. I have some challenges to overcome, including a lack of self-confidence, limited experiences, and a lack of socialization. However, with the right support and positivity, I've been making great progress in improving my skills. Positive touches and gentle handling really help me work through my fears, even though I can find the world a bit scary at times. I'm still a bit more fearful around men, but I'm learning to trust them through proper introductions. I've been enjoying small outings and venturing out into the world, one step at a time. When it comes to walking on a leash, I prefer a slower pace and love leisurely strolls. Turns out, I'm well-mannered and calm. I'm a super sweet and affectionate girl who loves giving kisses and receiving belly rubs. Positive praises and love really bring out the best in me I'll be putty in your hands! I also enjoy relaxing on the couch and napping right beside you. I promise to be your loyal, velcro best friend. Due to my fear, I would do best with a calmer family. I get along well with calm, low-key dogs, though I'm not very playful with them. I'd much rather shower my love on humans than dogs. I also do well with dog-savvy, calmer kids. I'm hoping to find a forever family who will continue to show me that the world is not such a scary place. If you're looking for a sweet and loving companion, I might just be the perfect fit for you.
