Grace will make a wonderful companion for someone who would enjoy a Husky in a small package. Grace has the most calm gentle spirit of any dog her foster mom has ever seen! This little Husky is a Very Special girl!
Words cannot describe what an exceptionally sweet gentle calm special dog Grace is. She has never complained even when I knew she was in great pain when she first came to me. Grace is 100% house trained, she will wait to go for a walk. I have Never seen a dog with such a wonderful spirit about her.
Grace will make a wonderful companion for someone who is interested in a special canine companion that is very low maintenance. Grace plays with her toys on her bed and waits for the opportunity to play and snuggle with her person. Grace loves going for short walks and she loves to be in the fresh air. Grace has recovered from her broken pelvis with only a slight limp remaining. Grace has recovered from the heartworms that she had. The only limitation Grace has is she needs to walk slowly and carefully up and down stairs and on smooth floors.
"Amazing Grace". These words certainly describe this beautiful Miniature Husky! Grace is named for the unmerited favor she has been shown.
Grace was found my the side of the road, having been hit by a car, by a "Good Samaritan" and taken to a local Emergency Vet Clinic. There Grace's care was taken on by a vet tech working for the clinic. Grace's broken pelvis was stabilized, she was spayed and her needed Heart worm treatment was given. After 5 weeks at the clinic the vet tech contacted Canine Shelter Rescue and ask us to help with Grace's continuing recovery needs and fined her a home where she will be loved and appreciated.
Grace is the most amazing dog we have ever met! Grace spent the first week at her foster mom's gladly gated off away from the other dogs for her safety. Grace understood this was not punishment but protection. In her safe place, Grace just rested the hours away. Each time Grace went out on lead she was slightly stronger.
After the first week Grace moved to inside and open closet. Grace would stay on her memory foam bed until Mom came to her with the lead. Again Grace gained a little more strength and stability each day.
Two and 1/2 weeks later, Grace will get up and walk around the room and let Mom know when she needs to go out. Grace sleeps by Mom's bed and is a delight to all who meet her.
UPDATE: 1/31/06
Grace is continuing to gain strength and weight. She enjoys walking, off lead, in the fenced yard with her foster sisters and brother. Grace especially enjoys resting while taking a sun bath.
UPDATE: 2/25/06:
Grace is much stronger and is able to run and play with the neighbor dog who Grace loves! She will seek him out and does not want to come back inside until she has played with him. Grace is a good eater and has now gained weight to a good level.
Grace will only be adopted to a family who knows and loves the Husky breed. Grace must be adopted as an inside valued family member.
Adoption Fee for Grace is $150.
