PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS Meet Grace Slick! Like her namesake, Grace just wants "Somebody to Love." Although shy in new situations, she adores all people and will snuggle right next to you on the couch. Whether you're giving her belly rubs or brushing her soft coat, she is the perfect cuddle buddy! Grace will thrive in a relaxed home where she can enjoy fun adventures with her family. When she's not curled up for a snooze, she loves zooming around the house, playing fetch with a tennis ball, and sunbathing outside. Grace is also happy to tag along in the car! Although she always likes meeting new friends, Grace needs a home with no young children or large dogs. Because of her petite size, she prefers small dogs and older children who treat her gently. She also seems indifferent to cats, sniffing them calmly through their carriers at the vet. Speaking of critters, Grace is fascinated by lizards! She enjoys lounging on the screen porch, where she dutifully "guards" against any would-be lizard intruders. Sharp-eyed and nimble, Grace chases them off with tail wags aplenty! Grace is house-trained and crate-trained. She sleeps through the night for 9+ hours and politely waits for her morning potty break and breakfast. When it's time to walk (or time to eat), listen for her silly, endearing grumbles of excitement! A quick learner, Grace knows Sit, Come, and Stay. She is working on Down and Drop It, as well as calmly passing other dogs on walks. With plenty of treats (especially cheese!), Grace will master these skills in no time. HEALTH Grace is microchipped, spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. She requires daily eye drops in one eye for a congenital dry eye condition. Grace is a pro at getting her eye drops and doesn't mind at all! HISTORY Grace was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. PHYSICAL With her feathery black coat and curly ears, Grace Slick is a stylish superstar! Her sweet muzzle appears to be speckled with moon dust.
