Grady

9/30/04 - Grady is a very sweet boy about 4-5 years old. Neutered. 70 lbs. Good around large dogs (not sure about small ones under 10 lbs). Not good with cats. Heels and walks well on leash. Doesn't seem to know much else in the way of commands. Sometimes he will sit and lay down on command other times not. Grady has been in doggy day care with dogs as small as a Boston Terrier and is fine. I don't know if he is housetrained or crate trained since I can't bring him into my home, because of the cats. I also haven't been able to check him with kids, no kids around. However, when I have had him out walking he ignores the kids that pass by. Ignores people on rollerblades, bikes, joggers. He's seems to be just a very mellow boy. Last night I even took a rawhide bone out of his mouth, no problems! Grady cannot fly due to his ear infection. The person would need to either fly out and rent a car to drive back or drive out to get him in Utah. Grady's ear's are in terrible condition plus he seems to have a food allergy...so already the meds he's on were about $200.00. and who knows how long he will need treatment. He is 4 or 5 years old (will need some teeth attention/cleaning soon also) Had a severe ear infection, rod infection, prescribed several medicines and cleaners including enrofloxacin (which is supposedly expensive). His eyes were matted but no apparent eye problem after all the mats were removed. He has skin allergies (or food allergies or just mite, flea, tick infestion results). She has him now on Nutro for skin problems, he got a steriod shot, and I advised that she may need to give him the occasional benedry pill for future itching until all the whelts are cleared up. He also got revolution which will kill the fleas, ticks and mites that might still be left after the cleaning. He is neutered. He is extremely friendly and well behaved, was NOT starved, and does not have any other parasites. 9/28/04 - He is out of the kill shelter in Utah, but the lady who has him can't keep him for long. He is about 4 years old, really friendly, likes other dogs, but has not been around cats (went after foster home cats as if he did not know what they were), had ear infection which is under treatment. I would like to place him, but with Worden handling rescues because of all the hurricanes where she is in FL, I can't get my guys on the lists now. Can you help. We can raise money to help ship him somewhere if necessary. Anything you can do will be a help. An application, vet reference, home visit a must to meet our dogs! Adoption fee required.
