adopted 4-30-5 to leanne mccormick, this is a wonderful dog who is full size already, at about 40 lbs the vet clinic says - He is a good boy. loves attention...very affectionate...likes other dogs... he is housetrained, does not like cats, wants to chase them, is under 1 year old, and on further investiagation we found he is rumoured to have been running at large for weeks, THE IRONY IS we have had 2 pups we are sure were from his litter in September, & we had placed them both, and he is identical to one, he has been neutered since coming into our care, and vaccinated and dewormed, a $150 adoption fee will apply, his owners moved away and left him so the local kids alerted the vet clinic and had him picked up -apply by completing a dog application on the adoption page of www.adoptapet.lucknow.on.ca, IF YOU KNOW OF SOMEONE THAT HAS ABANDONED THEIR PETS PLEASE CALL THE HUMANE SOCIETY -SO THE PET DOES NOT SUFFER FROM STARVATION OR EXPOSURE - AND TO GET THE PAPERTRAIL STARTED SO THE SO CALLED "OWNERS" DO NOT GET THE PRIVELEGE OF HAVING ANOTHER PET , PLEASE APPLY ONLY AFTER THE ENTIRE FAMILY HAS AGREED ON BRINGING A DOG INTO THE HOME AND AFTER IT HAS BEEN DECIDED WHICH CIRCUMSTANCES COULD DEVELOP WHICH WOULD MAKE YOU CONSIDER GIVING THE DOG UP (AND STATE THAT ON YOUR APP) SO WE CAN DETERMINE IF IT IS LIKELY THESE CIRCUMSTANCES COULD ARISE - IF YOU APPLY AND ARE CHOSEN AS A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT TO MEET THE DOG THIS LIKELY MEANS - WE ARE TURNING OTHER APPS DOWN - SO IF YOU LATER DECIDE AGAINST MEETING THE DOG BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT READY OR HAVE CIRCUMSTANCES ARISE , THEN YOU ARE DENYING THIS DOG GETTING INTO ITS NEW COMPATIBLE HOME IN A TIMELY FASHION AND YOU MAY BE COSTING OTHER DOGS THEIR LIVES IF WE ARE FULL AND CANNOT TAKE THEM IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, Please do not apply, if: 1) You are expecting to adopt an animal in less then 24 hours, 2) You are not willing to complete the adoption application (this is how we assess if a viewing is scheduled), 3) You do not want drive to this area for a viewing and/or adoption (I do not have a shelter for these animals - they are in foster homes, so I drive somewhere to meet you as well, and when you stand me up you are not only forcing the animals to be delayed in being adopted to decent permanent homes, but also wasting my and their time, and our money by having us spend time and long distance charges online processing your application and driving somewhere, all for nothing) 4) If you have multiple applications out as it is very unfair to waste the animal’s and volunteer’s time by applying and promising to come and then canceling or no showing at the last minute because you got a animal “CLOSER” to where you live - there is a map on our home page so consider the drive before you apply – WE APPRECIATE YOU LETTING US PUT OUR TIME AND SPARSE RESOURCES TO THEIR BEST USE If you are willing to follow our adoption procedure, please apply at the adoption page by completing the application online at www.adoptapet.lucknow.on.ca - please fill this out before calling us – as I have very little time to return phone calls, but can return emails at any time of the day
