Gus has found a most wonderful family ready to make him their very own. Dreams really DO come true!!!
Gus is so dear!! His motto seem to be "Life is meant to be enjoyed!"
Gus feels his best with family that can be a benevolent leader providing guidance and structure to help him enjoy his every day. He enjoys playing with friendly dogs but needs reassurance that he won't miss out on attention from his family when other pets are involved. He will do best as an only dog or with one other compatible canine companion to share his days with. He is very in tune to being loved on and will thrive with regular attention: given liberally, but not on demand (ask us about the "nothing in life is free" behavior modification program!).
Gus is low key but enjoys walks at the nearby park and eagerly looks forward to any outing.
Gus is happy to follow the lead of his family and is eager to please.
Gus is a purebred red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi and weighs a trim 32.3 pounds. He is estimated to have been born 12/3/03.
Gus is neutered and microchipped, tested heart worm negative and is on monthly heartworm/flea preventative, had routine bloodwork drawn with normal results, has been dewormed, vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and bordatella. He was treated for a bladder infection with oral antibiotics. He is on a daily oral glucosamine/chondroitin supplements for joint health - something we recommend for Corgis of all ages.
Gus is such a happy fellow and handsome too! He smiles and happily displays his pearly whites in a most endearing snaggle tooth grin- really!! He is sweet and good-natured.Gus adores being with people and we think that he would really enjoy being part of a family with older teens who are considerate and appropriate with animals or an adult home. He l-o-v-e-s to snuggle, the closer the better, and is a real love bug and a champion speed kisser too!
We prefer for Gus to have a securely fenced yard or be kept on lead when out and about with his family. Gus enjoys car rides with his family to take care of errands around town.
Gus is crate trained and house trained.
