Gypsy

Gypsy is an 8-10 year old French Bulldog. She was found wandering as a stray in Iowa. She was taken to the shelter. The shelter has suspicions that she was dropped off by her owner as she came with a harness and leash. She was obviously used as a breeder dog. Her microchip was not registered, but was traced back to being implanted by a known Oklahoma puppymiller. Gypsy is a gentle soul and her goal in life is to be petted as much as possible. She would love to be a couch potato and snuggle up next to you. She gets along with other dogs and will sometimes get a playful streak and want to play, but mostly she is just happy to just "be". She likes being outside. She will require a fence as she does like to try to wander...hence the name Gypsy. She loves to explore the yard and will just wander off if not supervised. Gypsy is a smart girl. She doesn't mind being kenneled, but can be trusted to not chew on things she isn't supposed to if she is left free. She is still learning potty training, but she mostly has it down. If she is let out often she will do her business outside. Gypsy has been completely vetted and has no known health issues. She weighs about 23 pounds. We do accept applications from anywhere in the US and Canada as long as the selected family is willing to pick her up. Applications can be found at www.rescueaboston.com.
