My Story

***ADOPTION PENDING*** Meet Hank, he is a large mix of possible Great Dane/boxer/lab/pit bull??? we really aren't too sure!!! either way Hank is a big sweetie. He's 8 months old and weighs about 75 lbs. He's neutered and is up-to-date on his shots. He's a bit awkward with his long legs, but always manages to be pretty cute. He's good with other dogs but he is a puppy still, so he can get a little excited and annoy the others. Thankfully he still respects them when they tell his to go away. Even with my dog who doesn't care much for dogs, he's doing well. I haven't seen him around kids much, but he was around my 5 year old nephew and he wagged his tail and looked for some loving. He also gets excited when he sees the kids waiting for the bus in the morning, so my guess is he loves little humans. Drum roll please... Hank is a clean boy. He asks to go out and holds it in his crate (4.5 hours). Yeah! On walks, he's really good for a young boy. He pulls when he's really interested in something, but that doesn't happen too often. Usually he's right at my side, knocking my hand for some loving. He seems to really want to visit others, but because he's still working on his manners (jumps when someone makes a fuss of him), he only visits non-strangers. He is very interested in loud cars and trucks and sometimes pulls at them when they zoom by. The best part is how smart he is though. He's already learned to heel and he sits while waiting for a light to change. Wow. A little more work and he'd be an ace. He's being crate trained now. It's easy to forget this big lug is a puppy, but he is and so he'd likely to chew and get into things if left alone so he needs his crate. He's not loud in the crate, but he does cry for a bit and sometimes refuses to go in. He has gone in a laid down on his own while we're in the room hanging out. So he's coming around. He sleeps at the side of my bed on his own bed, and is quiet at night. I've only heard him bark twice. Once at a dog running free off in the distance, and once to let me know he was waiting at the front door to go out. He's happy to just be in the same room with a human, and likes to follow the others. You can't help but fall in love with this goof. He passed his assessment with flying colours and would love a good human home to love him for the rest of his days
