Harold - male H puppy

Meet Harold! Harold is a 9-week-old (as of Jul 20th, 2024), black and tan Rottweiler-mix puppy who is available for adoption through Peppermint Pig! Harold and his siblings were rejected by their mom when they were only a few weeks old because she didn't know how to care for them, and they were unable to thrive. Unfortunately, we suspect mom was very sick at the time she was trying to nurse the pups and became aggressive towards them. Several of the pups from the litter did not survive, and others ended up with serious injuries. Thankfully we were able to convince the owner to surrender the pups to us, and we have been bottle feeding the remaining pups since they were just a couple weeks old. All the pups were very malnourished when they arrived, and several, including Harold, suffered from head trauma causing neurological issues. Harold has shown so much improvement in 4 weeks! But he still has some balance issues that show in a head tilt and wobbliness from time to time. We so hope that Harold makes a complete recovery, but our vets have explained that only time will tell. We do expect that Harold and his sister Henrietta will both be larger dogs when full-grown! We are looking for adopters with previous large breed experience and children in the home to be a minimum of 8 years of age. All puppies will be adopted with current, age-appropriate vaccines, given by Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue. We have a strict one-hour puppy adoption radius, puppy adopters must be within one hour of Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue.
