Henry is looking for someone who will give an older guy a chance. He is hoping that now in his golden years there is someone out there who will love him forever. Would you?
* Please take a moment to read about Henry. *

Henry lost his best friend. He is ready now for someone of his very own to love again -- this time he hopes it will be forever, but at his age, people tend to pass him by -- so in his days in foster care, Henry waits ...

Henry is fully housetrained, has never had an accident in his foster home and can go for 8+ hours before needing to go outside. He will let a 'woof' at the door to let you know he needs to go out.

Henry is UTD on vaccinations, and neutered. He eats dry kibble to keep his teeth and gums healthy and loves treats.

Henry is good with dogs, cats and kids. He is just an all around "Good boy!" and loves to be told so.

Henry is an easy going kind of guy who enjoys walks, pats, meal time and a good bone once in a while.

Henry walks very well on leash and can keep up nicely with his much younger foster pals. Henry also does very well off leash in dog - safe areas and with his person.

He loves to lay his head on one's lap, at one's feet and loves to have one pet him. Henry also enjoys being combed.

Do you like a good afternoon nap? Henry does too! He likes to cuddle up and spend his time dreamin' in the afternoon.

Henry enjoys the simple things in life. He enjoys lounging in the sun, exploring the yard and feeling the cool breeze on his face. He is always happy to go for a little "r-i-d-e" in the car, and to come back home to help unload the goodies from the pet store.

Henry is guestimated at 10 yrs old, but no one knows for sure.

Although puppies and young dogs are adorable, they too, like us, will one day be older like Henry. Henry is just hoping for that ONE special person or family to take a chance on loving him in the years ahead. This time he hopes it is forever.

Lady Luck hasn't been on Henry's side for a while. Henry was found as a stray. Somehow Henry and his friend lost one another and his friend didn't look for him, or didn't know how ... Henry doesn't understand why ...

Henry spent a couple months at ECCHA where they let him live in the lounge and greet the folks coming in. But no one adopted Henry. Henry was referred to by his friends at ECCHA as a *Shelter Favorite*. A very caring staff member from ECCHA drove Henry all the way to MN from WI for Henry to enter MOESR. The staff at ECCHA was absolutely correct about Henry.

Henry would do best in a home where he doesn't have to climb a lot of stairs to get to where he needs to be. He is OK with a few, but a flight of stairs may be too much for Henry.

Henry would enjoy a home where he could get attention and be able to spend time with his new best friend. In a home where he could go for a couple of walks a day for quality time. A fenced in yard would be great so he could safely enjoy the outdoors he loves.

Please consider Henry when chosing to adopt a friend.

* Henry is eligible for the first month of ShelterCare pet insurance upon adoption -- paid for by friends at Petfinder.com.
