Woman called me two weeks ago about a dog that came on her property and He had a gunshot wound to his leg. I had no idea what he looked like....but Told her he needed to be seen by the vet and she said she would help with the Bill. She took him to our vet two hours later and the prognosis was grim for his leg. It was shattered and we had to amputate the leg. Of course...you know what that costs....lots. ? His bill is close to $900 and the lady who brought Him in was generous to donate $300 to the cause. Our vet was gracious with the expense and lowered it for us and we were grateful. Everyone that meets Henry says he is the best dog in the world.....I had not seen him till now due and of course I am hooked on the warmth and charm of this 80 lbs dog. He is doing well.....but had a bumpy few days after the amputation due to the pain. His wonderful foster mom Nikole has two very young children and she stepped up like a trooper to help us out with this big boy! She adores him. He is wonderful with her 3 and 1 yr old boys. What more could you ask from a dog? He is a 2-3 year old that has much life and love to give....and with great charm to boot. Since The number "3" is my lucky number....I find him quite special! :-) Say a prayer that this boy finds a family to love all of him just the way he is!!! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
