My Story

Jack is a 5 year old working line, purebred German Shepard. He is a big boy, last weight at vet was 115lbs. Jack is up to date on all vaccines and exams. He is a big cuddle bug and the reason for rehoming is as Jack gets older he really likes one on one attention. Currently he is in a home with 3 other dogs and a cat, which he has been with since we brought him home at 8 weeks. We do give him his own time with us, he gets 2 walks a day, each about 2.5 miles. We play with him in the yard, and he has separate cuddle time with both of us. He has developed some anxiety where he chases and bites his tail. He has been seen by the vet and we have been told it's anxiety, all the pets we have are overstimulating Jack and it has been suggested that he be the only pet in the home. Jack has been around children as young as age 9, he loves people and loves to be pet. If he's not done being pet he will nudge your arm to let you know he wants more. Jack does well on walks, he can pull at times if he sees another dog but is easily redirected. If you tell him to go left or right, he will turn in the right direction, and will cross the street when you say to cross. We do not off leash him on walks. Jack does not like thunderstorms and will pace and whine during them, we give him dog CBD that we get at Petco, we will also give them to him if he has had a high anxiety day. We are interested in him going to a one dog home, where he can get all the attention he deserves, someone that will walk with him and play in the yard with him. We love Jack very much and are sad to have to rehome him but we want the years he has left to be in a peaceful home, getting all the attention he deserves.
