Jack
Breed
Labrador Retriever, Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler
Meet Jack!
He is a sweety young man is ready for adoption. We do not know much about his past, but he arrived at our rescue with his littermates. We are not sure what breed they are, but we think he is a cattle dog x lab mix and will be a med-large dog when full grown.
He is 100% teenager and willing to learn some manners! He will need a patient and dedicated owner to work with him on basic obedience and socialization. He has been around other dogs and seems to do well, but socialization must continue. He has not formally been tested around cats but will likely not have any problems if introduced at a young age. He would be fine around children, but preferably those who understand puppies have razor-sharp teeth and will nip, teeth and ruin anything they can get a hold of.
He is currently growing up in a shelter setting, and his personality is constantly changing, but he is at the age where he needs to be in a home in order to thrive and get the care and attention they need.
He will need an active household to keep them busy and would do best in a home with access to a yard. If you have a dog at home, we are happy to help you introduce them and see how they do here at the shelter before committing to take him home.
Diesel is vaccinated, dewormed, chipped, and on monthly prevention. He is neutered.
GCAR makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. The breeds listed are a guess based on features and characteristics. We cannot guarantee the size or breed of any dog without a DNA test.**
