Jack

We keep fighting for this guy but he’s slowly giving up Jack is becoming depressed, staying inside his doghouse and eating only sometimes. He’s been inside a kennel just about all of 2024. A dog of this breed, which is unknown, but definitely some sort of working breed, DOES NOT DO WELL IN COMPLETE CAPTIVITY. Jack needs a home where he can just be Jack. He needs an environment where he can just be himself. He enjoys company of humans ~ We think a home that is low key, retired couple that just want a companion dog, someone who gardens and wants company, a fisherman that wants a buddy, a contractor that wants a ride along friend ~ he’s a front porch, sweet tea drinking boy!!!! He has his fosters heart, but she’s unable to welcome him into her home to see if he’s housebroken We do know he’s very well behaved at adoption events, appears to not be high energy, crate trained and loves belly rubs. We do know that he isn’t fond of dogs entering his bubble. However, we do feel he is capable of bonding with another dog, we just don’t have the capability of making that happen. He’s in an outdoor kennel, which to us isn’t the best scenario given his coat, but it’s all we have to offer him. We need Jack into an environment where he will thrive ~ a different setting.
