My Story

Say Hello to Jack Black, the pup that should be a cat. Why you ask, because this little guy has 9 Lives. A little background on this very Special Pup. He was found as a stray by a very kind homeless woman. While in a camp, Jack was attacked by a large dog. Finder reached out to Dr Jean, who put him back together as best was possible. Jack is only 7-8 mo old. Too young to not be given a chance. Finder tried to keep him to help him recover. Jack was paralyzed after the attack. Not able to use his hind legs, he would drag his legs, the tops of his hind paws were getting infected from being scraped. Dr Jean had given them a stroller. But, thankfully, Jack still has his bodily functions. He had to be taken out of stroller to poop and pee. Dr Jean reached out to us to Foster. Now, here we are. Jack has been an Amazing Joy to Foster. Watching him improve daily has been a Beautiful Gift and Adventure. When Jack arrived, he couldn't walk, was able to stand for a few seconds, wag his tail, and had only a spark of Spirit. Dr Jean showed us a simple exercise to help strengthen his legs. With this, the help of our Special Pack, Jack has improved to where is he is today. His Happy, Joyful Spirit is back. He runs and plays with All the pups big and small. Jacks gait is a little off, he does slip and stumble at times. His new family will need to be careful he doesn’t over do. He will get tired and sometimes lay down next to you. Jack is also ok with being put in his stroller to rest. Jack’s progress has been Beyond Amazing. He is now ready to find his Forever Home. His perfect Home would be a family with children 12 or over. One who will understand his limitations. A buddy who is medium energy, his size or smaller, would be ideal. Jack loves toys, plays chase me, and shares very well. He will let you know when he needs to go outside, and will also use a pee pad inside. Sleeps thru the night in his crate. Will stay in crate during the day if no one is home. When you are home, be ready to be the focus of his attention. Jack has been neutered.
