Are you looking to make a big difference in a dogs life?
Jack is that dog who deserves it! Pretty sure he should be the poster child for resilience. With severe burns all over his body he has made a remarkable recovery physically and mentally. His foster mom has done a phenomenal job healing his body and soul and now he is ready for a new foster so we can continue his social development and behavioral progress. If you would like to meet this cutie and continue our journey together.
The short story...he was in a fire over a year ago, which resulted in 3rd degree burns over half of his body. It took 6 months of full body bandage changes and a year to completely heal, but he is FINALLY completely healed from his external injuries.
A veterinarian was his foster, and it only took a week for her to fall in love with his piggy face and sweet demeanor. She is hoping to find the best home for this special boy. He is loving, silly, smart, and very loyal. He goes to work with me everyday, and he is happy and sweet to
everyone. I have also taken him to Lowes and Home Depot several times, and he has always been cautious but friendly with strangers. He has never shown aggression to kids, however we want to prevent his over protection of kids, so he probably shouldn't be in a home with young kids that still to rowdy or upset.
He will be considered special needs for the rest of his life.
As for other animals, he would do best in a home with either no animals or an older dog that keeps to themselves. He becomes scared around overly excited dogs and hasn't been tested around cats.
This boy has been through more than any of us will ever know, so let's pull out all the stops to find his forever home!
The 'Texas 5' as what they have become known as; a group of dogs who were victims of a house fire. They were trapped in cages and received extensive burns...these 5 the most critical cases.
