Jack London

Meet Jack London! Hi, my name is Jack London but everyone calls me Jack or Jackie. I enjoy long walks, long belly rubs, and long naps. I also love giving sniffs and getting pets from people of all ages. I also love dog friends and would prefer a dog sibling as well as human siblings. I am very calm and just enjoy being part of things and involved. I never jump, bark (rarely, I husky whine and talk) or lick. I am chill and happy just being with a family. I don’t know what happened to my first family as I was found on the street and sat too long in the shelter before being rescued at the last minute. I hope to find my forever family home soon! Jack is about six years old and just happy being a dog. When we first rescued him he suffered from some anxiety (abandonment issues) and would pee when we left for too long. That has not happened in months, the shelter and being left on the street just took its toll on him. He is also a digger and can escape from a yard if it is not secure. He is very smart and loves the stimulation of walks and other dogs. Since he is the only dog in his home the answer is walks! He loves walks and gets excited and “twirls” in anticipation. He has gone to doggie daycare and loves it! He was heartworm positive at the shelter but received heartworm fast kill injections and is good now. He does take monthly heartworm tablets. There are not many negatives to his behavior. He is very calm, not aggressive with the three cats he lives with, and loves most every child he encounters. Although squirrels are his nemesis! He will make a wonderful addition to a growing family. I envision young children of all ages loving on him!
