HUGE NEWS! Jackie agreed to sit with us for an exclusive, tell-all interview. This is what she had to say: Can you tell us your name? Hi, I'm Jackie! My Foster Mom calls me Poppy, but you can call me your new best friend. See what I did there? What do you look for in a toy? I recently discovered squeaky toys, and they are THE BEST. When I get a little overexcited and start to play nibble, a good squeaky toy is a great way to redirect my attention. Who is your celebrity crush? Oh, thats easy. Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob. I love squirrels. Whats your life motto? If I fits, I sits. An open lap near me wont be open for long! But if youd rather I snuggle up right next to you, I can make that work. Do you have any special talents? In another life, Im sure I was a private investigator. Ive got a great sniffer for finding kibble and treats. My human wont get up to any trouble because Im always trailing one step behind. Whats the worst movie youve ever seen? Hands down Cats. I dont like em in real life, and the film was booooooring. However, cuddling on the couch made it not a total waste. No cats for me please and thank you. Whats your favorite quality in yourself? Im really brave. I spent over a month at the shelter meeting lots of people and playing with other dogs. I was listed as a volunteer favorite! And even with all the new changes, I was such a good girl moving into my foster home. I adapted so well to my Foster Mom and Foster Dog Sister (my new favorite playmate. Fireworks still scare me though. Could you share a few guilty pleasures? Since Im a bit on the fluffy side, being brushed is an automatic way to win me over! I also like dipping my paws in water. Jackie is a true sweetheart. For the fast facts: shes housebroken, crate-trained, spayed, should not live with cats, good with other dogs, and to our knowledge has not lived with kids. She adores people, but smaller kids may not appreciate her herding tendencies. She knows sit and is quickly learning down and wait. She currently gets the run of the house when her Foster Mom is home, but she sleeps in her crate and chills there when no humans are home. She also did great at the groomers. She clearly has quite the family tree, and our best guess is shes a Corgi/Shiba Inu/Cattle Dog mix. She weighs about 47 pounds, but she would gladly put on more if given the chance! Ultimately, all she wants is a home where she is welcomed and loved!
