You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Jake is a medium sized dog with a big personality who is looking for the perfect home for himself. He is already house broken. He doesn't like the crate but will go in and settle down after a few minutes. He is fine to be left alone in the house and doesn't chew anything or get into things. Jake has separation anxiety so would prefer a home where someone is there most of the time, or another dog his size to keep him company. Jake currently lives with 3 small female dogs. Slow introductions are needed with strangers, but especially men. He is possessive of his chew bones, but we are working on that and he is currently in training. Jake would do best in a quiet home with just one female or couple and no children. When he gets excited, Jake barks and jumps and runs around so care should be taken because he could knock someone over, And he wouldnt do well in an apartment setting. Jake already knows 'sit' and is treat motivated so will learn quickly what you ask him to do. He loves to sleep in the human bed and will lay on the floor at your feet by the couch or hang out while you're in the kitchen or other room. He enjoys cuddles and scratches. Jake loves to go on walks and can do 2 miles easily. He is great motivation to get you out to walk! Jake loves to hang out in the backyard with his person, just chilling and sunning himself. A fenced yard would be a plus. Jake has all his shots and has been checked over by our vet. He is good to go!!
