It was then revealed that Jake had been a victim of violence, having been shot and left with a bullet lodged near his spine, causing nerve damage and urinary/bowel control issues. Thanks to dedicated care and treatment, Jake's health improved, and he found solace in the loving embrace of his foster home. Despite his past hardships, Jake's spirit remains unbroken. He exudes boundless affection for everyone he meets and cherishes simple pleasures like walks on a leash, basking in the sun, and snuggling with his foster mom on the couch. While Jake gets along well with female dogs, he may be selective around males due to past experiences. He values his space during mealtime, likely a remnant of his survival instincts from his time on the streets.
