The Volunteer keeps doing “a voice” for me and she says it’s the voice of that guy with the big mustache that never seems to age and stays really hunky and she couldn’t ‘member his name but searched “handsome older actor with mustache and deep voice” and bam, Sam Elliot. Thank you internets.
I too am a handsome slightly older chap that still looks great, has vigor, sturdy stature and impresses the ladies with one glance. At 8 years old, I’m wise enough to not need a crate and use a doggie door but young enough to still have some pep in my step or gas in my boot or whatever the kids are saying these days.
I’m slower to warm up to people but not in a mean way, just shy. I’m incredibly sweet and gentle. I spent the Yuletide holidays in the Laredo pound and was rescued right after the New Year. Foster Mom’s been letting me settle in and now I’m ready for a home!
Foster Mom wishes I could talk, because y’all this is just pretend right here, but she wishes I could tell her why I was so stinkin skinny and forlorn when I was picked up as a stray in Laredo. Did someone love me for 8 years and then kick me out or did I just get lost?
She suspects my life wasn’t likely rainbows and cartwheels because I do have heartworms and those will need treatment. Foster Mom can discuss with you. I’m a really good boy and didn’t get worms on purpose! I swear. Just no one was giving me preventative.
My life before was not easy street, despite that I learned to be gentle. Although I’ll be a little standoffish at first, I do want to trust you and let you into my circle of trust. You’ll see, I’m the sweetest dog in the world.
Oh, and I want a blue plaid collar and a bed that has one of those little head bumps and also maybe a stuffed toy shaped like a pizza or taco. Heck yeah, I wanna be a spoiled dog. Thank you kindly.
