HI!! I'm Jake and I am part of the NEW MOON litter - extra special! I am a fancy mix of Labrador Retriever & Hound but I tend to favor my LAB side I love EVERYONE! I'm friendly and enjoy following you around to keep a close eye on you and check out what you are up to . I live with two other pups - 1yr and 8yrs and we all get along great! I especially love playing TUG with them..even if that means foster mama's socks! Ideally, I would really love to have canine siblings but I'd also do well chilling as your one and only and having play dates with other pups! I heard something about "daycare" what is that?? That seems perfect! Don't let my cute face fool you I am ALL PUPPY! I will really thrive in a ho me that is committed to regular exercise and training. I love squeaky toys, chasing balls, and wrestling with the other dogs . My foster kitty sibling is getting really annoyed with me because I tend to back him into a corner and bark at him. He's not cool with it so maybe I shouldn't be in a home with cats at this time. So, what do you say, want to bring my perfectly loving puppy self home!? Jake is working on house training. He does well in his crate (clean) for short bursts of time (4hrs max). His intelligent nature leads us to believe a little consistency will put him on the path to success in both areas. Jake's back story: A Wiley's Road Home foster volunteer encountered a stray dog, visibly emaciated, yet wearing the proud badge of a nurturing mother. The volunteer trailed the canine heroine to a nearby house, where an elderly couple resided, and found a litter of pups tucked under the home, where Mom had made them a safe nest. Wiley's accepted the family into rescue and volunteers literally crawled under the house through a tiny opening to bring the pups to safety. As it turns out, the couple were not even aware the family had taken up residence. The New Moon puppies are patiently waiting for adopters who want to welcome them into their family and nurture them through their next phases and into the full life they deserve!
