Jammers

Meet Jammers! 12-year-old Jammers was with his mom for over 11 years, and together, they went through a lot of changes. He first lived with his mom in a house with a yard, then an assisted living apartment, and lastly, a memory care facility. Sadly, Jammers' mom is now unable to care for him anymore. After six weeks with a pet sitter, he was entrusted to our care through the Final Wish Program on July 25th. Soon after Jammers arrived, he was already rolling over and asking for belly rubs. He's so cute! Jammers is a fun, fast little guy and has pep in his step! On his first FFF Sunday hike, he hit the trail running and enjoyed a nice hike. His little legs didn't mind the deeper sand or rockier terrain. He enjoyed when a volunteer gave him a short break by carrying him, but as soon as she put him down, he was ready to go again! Jammers is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we are learning what he is like in a home. His Fling Mom shared this first update: "Jammers is such a gentle old soul. His whole life turned upside down recently, and I'm letting him decompress. He's been with me for 3 days and so far, he is very sweet. He is fine being picked up and held. He is house-trained, and his bed has been dry. Jammers is very, very quiet-I haven't heard a peep out of him. He rides fine in the car, he begs but very politely, he likes going for walks, he is fine with my 4 dogs, and he's not on any meds. He hasn't played yet, but I think that will come with time. He is so sweet and easy to take care of I signed up to fling him but I'm going to switch to fostering him until he's adopted. I love his big ears!" Check back soon for the next update!
