My Story

Jasmine is a 2-year-old border collie mix born 4/2/22, who was adopted as a puppy. A happy girl, and a great companion whose circumstances have recently changed. Now her environment is challenged daily creating stress for Jasmine making rehoming the best option for her future. Jasmine is up to date on all vaccines, she is heartworm negative, and is on a scheduled routine for heartworm and flea and tick preventatives. She is overweight at 70 pounds. Still an active youngster, Jasmine loves to play with her stuffed toys, most of which become unstuffed in short order. Give her an empty milk jug or a water bottle to tussle with and she's a happy girl. Chasing a huge ball in the backyard is a favorite activity. Jasmine does get irritated and aggressive when one of the other dogs in the present household invade her space especially around her food dish. For that reason, she is fed separately. When introduced properly, she will get along with most other dogs. But it's felt she would be much happier being the sole dog in the house. Jasmine is not well suited to toddlers or children under the age of 10. Jasmine will work best with experienced adults who can provide her with plenty of exercise and a home with a fenced in yard. Jasmine did go through basic training for 1 month, walks well on a leash, and will jump into the car with no hesitation, but does get car sick. Giving her Dramamine helps. Jasmine is located in Larson, South Carolina, near Charleston, If you would like more information about Jasmine, you can email [email protected] or complete the application on our website www.arcbcr.org/apply-to-adopt-cl ARCBCR courtesy lists dogs for individual owners, other rescues, and shelters wishing to place their Border Collies or Border Collie-mixes themselves.
