Jasper

07/29/2024 ***PUPDATE*** Jasper has been in foster for 100 days now. So, Jasper's adoption fee has been reduced to $150 because he needs his furever after home and it's not about the money, for sure! Jasper is an 8 month old chihuahua/boston terrier mixed puppy. He is currently 21 lbs. Jasper came to us untrained all around with urine stains on his coat, indicating that he was kept in a crate most of his young life :( He is crate trained, but sometimes will have an accident in there. He is puppy pad trained. Housetraining is a work in progress. He is a happy guy, but has some resource and food guarding issues with other dogs in the home. Jasper would flourish in a home as an only dog. Jasper is neutered, vaccinated (rabies, kennel cough, and his distemper/parvo), dewormed, on heartworm preventative, flea treated, and is microchipped. Adopters must be a homeowner. Adopters must live within a 1 1/2 hour drive from Syracuse, as a home visit is required. Adopters must complete our application, complete with personal and Veterinary references. Jasper is still a puppy, so a home where an adult is there with him most of the day, (for example, someone that works from home most of the work week} as he still needs training and socialization.
