Jax is a retriever mix, who allegedly was thrown out of a car and a good samaritan was able to take Jax in and bring him to us. Jax is a bit nervous here (can you blame him?) But is warming up to a few people. He walks great on leash and knows the "sit" cue. In his evaluation, he did show signs of guarding his food and is uncomfortable around other animals so our behaviorists say he can be placed in a dog savvy home, with older teens 17 and up. Although we do not know Jax' previous life, we do know he needs time to adjust so he will need a home with someone who will take the time and patience to show him love, security and all the beautiful adventures life has to offer!
