Jaxe

Jaxe is a 2-3-year-old, 50lb shepherd-looking mix who loves people. He wants to let everyone know he loves them by giving kisses and leaning in for hugs. This young boy is happy to lay by your side and cuddle, but he also is playful. He enjoys spending time outside, rain or shine, and would make an excellent walking or hiking companion. His barking is minimal, and his house training has come a long way since going into a foster home. Jaxe is very comfortable around children. He has lived with them in the past and is the ideal family dog. Since being in foster care, he has met no less than 12 kids ranging from 4-14 and loved giving and receiving attention from all of them. Jaxe has met quite a few dogs since being in ACCT's care (see videos) where he has done well in most of his meetings. He is very excited to meet new dogs and has lived in harmony with them in the past. Some of the dogs he has met he seemed very shy of. If you have a dog in your home, he will need to meet them before being adopted. He would be a great companion for a calmer dog. He prefers to lounge around and cuddle or walk along-side other dogs, as opposed to rough playing. He cannot be homed with a cat, because he has shown too much interest in them. Everyone who meets Jaxe says the same thing: he is the sweetest boy. Jaxe has sadly been in and out of the shelter since August of 2023. He is happy to be in a temporary foster home, but he would love to meet you if you are interested in giving him a forever home. He just wants to love and be loved by a family.
