My name is Jaye, and I am an absolute sweetheart despite my intimidating exterior. For over 500 days, I have called this shelter my temporary home. The caring staff and volunteers make me feel special with their affection and tasty treats, but my heart yearns for a forever family to give me the love, comfort, and security that only a real home can provide. I'm a big boy with an even bigger heart. I love patrolling the shelter grounds, keeping watch for any potential threats. My loud barks and booming growls can seem scary at first, but they're mostly just for show. As soon as you offer me a tasty morsel or a gentle head scratch, my tough facade melts away, revealing the playful goofball within. I get so excited at the prospect of making new furry friends that I sometimes come on too strong with my enthusiastic greetings. But I'm quick to respect boundaries once I get the message. While I love to romp and wrestle, I know when to dial it back and give my canine pals their space. All I desire is a home filled with fun, affection, and frolicking. Just give me a big, grassy yard to explore, a couple of dog siblings to keep me company, and a loving human family to call my own - that would make this gentle giant's dreams come true.
