My Story

I am part of the "Go BIG for Summer" adoption promotion and my adoption fee is reduced to $200 through August 31st! Meet Jaylor! Jaylor weighs 56lbs. Are you searching for a wise and gentle companion to share your golden years with? Look no further, because Jaylor, a 10 1/2 year-old Siberian Husky, is ready to bring his warmth and wisdom into your home! Jaylor may be a senior pup, but his age is just a number. With his silver muzzle and soulful eyes, he exudes a quiet dignity and grace that comes with years of experience. Despite his age, Jaylor is still full of love and affection, and he's eager to share it with his forever family. Having spent his early years in a commercial breeding environment, Jaylor is now ready to leave the past behind and embrace the love and care he deserves. He may have had a rough start, but his spirit remains unbroken, and he's ready to embark on a new chapter filled with happiness and companionship. Jaylor is not just a gentle soul; he's also fantastic with other dogs, especially females. He enjoys their company and thrives in a social environment where he can make new furry friends. Whether it's sharing a cuddle with a canine companion or enjoying a leisurely stroll together, Jaylor is always happiest when he's in the company of his four-legged friends. Despite his age, Jaylor is in great health and has many happy years ahead of him. He enjoys going for walks, exploring his surroundings, and soaking up the sunshine. But above all else, he cherishes the simple moments spent in the company of his loved ones, where he can bask in the warmth of their affection and companionship. If you are interested in meeting Jaylor, please apply to meet him at NMDR.org. - - - - - - Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
