Initially more independent than his other siblings, now that he's had a chance to build a relationship he's turned into an eager learner who loves to play and train. He definitely still has a mischievous side, but has been super responsive to training and grown into a fun little buddy. Jayne is working on foundational skills and house training. He is doing very well with crate training, sleeping well through the night and for short intervals during the day. Expect to continue working on all the puppy basics so he can grow into the best little man! He and his brother have quickly come out of their shells here with controlled exposure to new dogs, people, sights, sounds, and textures. They do great out in the yard with the adult dogs they've met, needing a little guidance here and there to mitigate typical puppy pestering. Jayne enjoys playing with his dog friends, but can also settle with a toy or stick and have a good chew on his own. He has been content to hang out nearby me and has been seeking out more affection now that he's settled in here, but overall isn't a super cuddly dude and is quick to dance away if you try to force affection on him. He'd much prefer to play or train than snuggle! Jayne and Wash are part of a larger litter born around the end of March, and were roughly 20lbs at about 15wks old. Jayne has been embark tested, and is primarily ACD with several other breeds mixed in including husky, boxer, and APBT. While Jayne doesn't exhibit the intensity typical of heelers, that heeler side does come out at times during play. Medium energy for his mix, he is overall a little busier than his brother and would love a handler who will engage with him and give him appropriate outlets to keep him happy and fulfilled! Jayne and his siblings are microchipped, fully vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. They are being adopted out on neuter contracts to allow their puppy bodies and minds more time to develop. The puppies are available to separate homes, and must meet their potential families prior to adoption in order to help ensure a great match.
