Jellybean

Meet Jellybean, the epitome of sweetness wrapped in fur! This delightful canine is a cuddle connoisseur, always seeking affection from everyone she meets with her gentle demeanor and wagging tail. Whether it's snuggling up on the couch or curling up in your lap, Jellybean's love knows no bounds. She is also a playful pup at heart, with a passion for toys and endless games of fetch. With Jellybean, every moment is filled with love, laughter, and endless joy. Per Foster 4/30: She is a quiet but rambunctious girl who is EXTREMELY affectionate. She literally plops her head on absolutely everyone she meets and will collapse next to them in a pile of snorts and kisses waiting for pets. She is very into squeaky balls and tennis balls and will chase after them when thrown...not the best at bringing them back and likes playing keep away, but will trade one toy for another. Jellybean is also very food motivated. She RACES up the stairs for her meals and eats her treats in one gulp. She does try to steal treats from our resident dog, Hoagie, but listens when she's asked to leave them alone. When we're not at home she stays in a separate bedroom and does great in there. She seems to relax on her dog bed for the most part and take naps--she doesn't make any sounds when she's in there and just settles in. No accidents at all since the first couple days. She does most of her business in the backyard, we are going to work on getting her to pee/poo on our daily walks more. Right now she's definitely a puller with a lot of strength and we'll need to work on leash training. She has met dogs in passing and is energetic but friendly. She also seems interested in chasing squirrels but is easily distracted and will move along from them. With our resident dog (Hoagie) who is older and a little standoffish, Jellybean kind of just leaves her alone and goes in for sniffs very rarely, although Jellybean does seem to lack spatial awareness at times and walks straight into her. She is generally a very silly and loving girl who really just wants to play and be with her people. Behavioral: Per volunteer on 4/6/24: Super sweet easygoing dog! She loved chasing the ball, but also settled right in and climbed onto my lap for cuddles. Definitely a dog that would love to curl up on the couch next to you, but with some playful energy on the side! Per volunteer on 4/4/24: This precious gal will be a joy to have. Jellybean loves play time! She is a bit of comedian in the play yard rolling the biggest ball she could find! She loved playing fetch, her version: " throw it, I'll get it and relocate it elsewhere and you the human can go get it. She sat and gently enjoyed several treats with excellent manners! What a love she is! Per staff on 3/30/24: So so sweet, loves cuddles and pets. Loves her toys but trades easily. I think she'd do well with kids, good foster candidate. Per medical staff on 3/28/24: Jellybean was very friendly for check in and for her PCR swabs. She solicited attention and allowed all over handling! Medical: 3/28/24 assessment: Pattern of hair loss is likely secondary to allergies and will resolve when inciting causes are removed including regular flea preventative. Patient is also showing mild to moderate signs of any upper respiratory infection. Medication will be started.
