Jerry or Gerald

Jerry comes all the way from Azerbaijan (a country in the Middle East) to Toronto to find his happily ever after! It’s been over a year since we rescued Gerald from the streets in very poor condition. With quality treatment and lots of love, he transformed into this cute little fennec fox! Just look at his big adorable ears and chocolate eyes—has he stolen your heart yet? Jerry is around 6 years old, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He has low to medium energy and weighs around 25 lbs. Back in the shelter, he got along well with everyone, especially other dogs. He can do well with cats if introduced properly. We think Gerald will thrive with experienced dog parents in a home where his personal space will be respected during the first week while he's still adjusting. Gerald might also benefit from other dogs in the household. Because of his harsh stray life, his sleep is quite sensitive in the beginning, but that improves with time as Jerry gets to know his new humans and learns to trust them. After his naps, he's just happy to watch his fosters and realize he's so lucky to have a roof and people that care about him. He's so happy when he wakes up in the mornings and runs to say hi to his people and shower them with cuddles and kisses. Jerry goes on three walks a day, two longer ones and a quick one before going to bed. He is the best walking buddy—a natural Torontonian! He's amazing on the leash, stops when you stop, and just follows the lead. He loves going to cafes in the morning and accompanying his fosters on shopping strolls. Everyone stops to say hi to Jerry and compliment his unique look—that's how handsome he is! Jerry used to be a stray for way too long, and he deserves to become a beloved pet and get spoiled. He has a very tough history, and he just needs someone committed to him to give him a chance. We have absolutely no doubt that he’ll make his future family the happiest people and shower them with all the love he has to offer. Apply now before it's too late!
