You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.This gorgeous boy is sweet once he gets to know you, but he is very shy and leery of new people. Jesse came to us when his person passed away and was very confused when he first arrived at ASR.........but with time and TLC he is now relaxed, happy and ready for his next adventure with his forever family! Jesse is great with dogs and while initially a little cautious with new people, he is affectionate and friendly. He is crate and house trained, and walks great on a leash. He takes treats so gently, it's like a butterfly wing brushing your hand. Jesse has shown reactivity to basic commands during obedience class, so he will only be adopted to a home with no children, and to an adopter who will take time to earn his trust. Due to his reactivity to some handlers, Jesse will need a dedicated, patient new best friend and leader to establish a strong bond through training. Jesse did not live with children in his prior home, so we think a family with teenagers or no kids is the best home for him. He would also not do well with with cats.
