A nightmare became hope for this 1-year-old pup. A North Central ACT officer witnessed a homeless man choking her with a leash while beating her. The officer intervened, trying to chase the man and in turn saving her!
Jessie came to us emaciated with neck wounds and skin issues. Because of Jessies past she can be a bit shy and timid at first, but does trust quickly. This girl easily attaches to humans and just wants all the love and affection that she never had.
She enjoys her walks and is great on leash. Jessie is still gaining her confidence and learning "how to dog" but is blossoming more everyday.
We know with loving humans she will be able to conquer the world. Although Jessie shines as the only dog, she has shown us that she can co-exist peacefully with the right dogs who allow her to feel safe with them too.
We also think because of this girls quiet and sensitive nature, children ages 12 and up would be best for this gal.
