Jim (COURTESY LISTING, NOT IN SHELTER)

Hi all. I need to re-home Jim. He's a hound and border collie mix. He's a really friendly guy. Not aggressive at all and fairly chill for his breed. He's very food motivated which has made him easy to train. He knows sit, sit pretty, talk (quiet), speak (loud), paw, other paw, law down, and roll over. He can be very excitable and tends to jump up on people. He has a chip, has been neutered, and most of his vaccines are up to date. One just expired recently and I've been meaning to get that taken care of. At any rate, I think Jim would thrive as a hunting dog or some other kind of working dog. I don't need any money and will give you everything I have to take care of him. I'm not allowed to have a dog in my apartment, but my ex got him anyway before she moved out. I've been taking care of him ever since and have been really trying to avoid dropping him off at a shelter. I have an apartment manager getting after me now because I've been trying to delay having to re-home him. If you are at all interested, please let me know. Some other points: - He's very patient with my 4 year old daughter, so seemingly good with kids in general - The times he's been to the dog park, he gets along well with other dogs - I was told he was a dog at a vet school as a puppy. Not sure if that's true, but I do know he is very patient with things like baths and nail clipping - He does have a tendency to chew things that are left laying around, especially kids toys.
