Male - 3.5 years - 60 lb Hunky Mixed Breed Adoption Fee: $175 Jimmy Johns has had a rough go of it since arriving at the Rescue. Well first, he was tossed over our back fence with 7 other dogs. . . not cool. We could tell immediately that there was something wrong with both of his eyes. Upon examination from our Veterinarian it was determined that Jimmy had a severe Entropion in both eyes. Entropion (en-TROH-pee-on) is a condition in which your eyelid turns inward so that your eyelashes and skin rub against the eye surface. This causes irritation and discomfort. Ouchies. Then his luck got even better when he tested positive for Heartworm. Yuck! So after a surgery to fix his eyes, a neuter procedure, and 6 long months of heartworm treatment he is finally ready for adoption! Staff report Jimmy is a good listener and a quick learner! He is making good progress in his training and knows sit, down, touch, and stay! Nothing makes him happier than rolling around in grass on a beautiful sunny day. Him is a cuddle bug and would love nothing more to than to take a midday nap with you on the couch. Jimmy is dog selective, so it is important to schedule a dog-to-dog visit before bringing him home to any potential doggy siblings. Despite his love of naps he does have quite a bit of energy and loves chewing on toys, tennis balls, and walks. Jimmy is a staff favorite, and we're sure he'll win your heart over just like he has ours!
