Joan

About 1 ½ to 2 years old, Joan is a fox terrier/perhaps beagle mixed-breed who came to Illinois Humane with her adult puppy, Melissa, through animal control from the home of a person who had frequent hospitalizations. Neither of them has had much socialization, but they have basically good temperaments and are blossoming in their respective foster parents’ homes. Joan is a bit peppier than her pup, and both of them weigh about 30 pounds. Spayed now, microchipped and up-to-date on shots, Joan is cute and playful. She gets along well with other dogs and greets people confidently. She has accepted the crate when foster dad has to go to work, and has had very few housebreaking accidents since she has caught on to the routine at her foster home. She rides will in a vehicle and has an optimistic attitude, it seems, toward life. Joan would make a great family pet or a companion to active adult(s). To visit with Joan please join us at our off-site adoptions at PetCo, 2721 S. Veterans Parkway, Springfield, Ill., on the first and fourth Sundays of each month or the second and third Sundays at Springfield’s PetsMart on Veterans Parkway. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PetCo.
