Meet Jody! This handsome boy is a 7 year old, 70 pound neutered male who has been at the west valley shelter in Chatsworth, CA (suburb of Los Angeles) since September 2022. Jody’s color makes him hard to see when walking through the shelter, he’s sadly been over looked. But he sits quietly in his cell, without jumping or barking, hoping someone will notice him. The volunteers do - they adore him. He’s a volunteer favorite. Some of the things that make Jody amazing.. Jody is easy to leash, easy to walk and a delight in the play yard. He has medium energy, so he will still be a wonderful walking buddy. And he loves attention, namely in the form of butt scratches and belly rubs. He enjoys the company of people and will be a cuddly companion for any loving, one-dog home. Although Jody is not reactive to other dogs when on leash walking through the shelter, he would prefer to be someone’s one and only. Jody knows the sit and down commands and is mild-mannered. He is treat-motivated and takes treats gently. He greets strangers kindly, with his quiet soft demeanor. He has done more than enough time in the slammer and is more than ready for cozy beds in a caring home. Volunteers will pay for transport, and we are able to get Jody to you any where on the West coast. He is available for a foster to adopt.
