Joe

Joe is a neutered, vaccinated 39 pound, approximately 1.5 year old lovable, affectionate, Beagle/Hound mix! He loves to play, sniff, hike, and just have fun! He loves puppies and is teaching our puppies how to play. It's the best! He also does great romping with the other hounds currently at the shelter. Our volunteers think he is handsome, easy to walk, affectionate and just plain fun. He really is a sweetheart who loves human contact. Now, let's address Joe's journey. He's been adopted and returned to us three times, but we firmly believe that the perfect match is still out there. Joe deserves a loving family and will make someone a wonderful companion. Special Note: Previous adopters have reported resource guarding behaviors with Joe during mealtime. Though we haven't directly observed this behavior in the shelter, as the dogs eat alone in their kennels, we believe that transparency is key. We want to ensure Joe finds his forever family with open hearts and eyes. If his next family believes professional training is necessary to help Joe thrive, we're more than willing to contribute!
