Hey there! It's Joey, the old senior dog with a hop in my step, just like a kangaroo! I've been through quite a journey and I'm excited to share my story with you. You see, life wasn't always easy for me. I spent a long time on the streets, battling heartworm, and feeling weak. But hey, I never let that dampen my spirit! I stayed strong and happy, wagging my tail through it all. After being rescued, I received treatment for the heartworm, but I still have a long-term cough. It's a reminder of my past struggles, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest! Now, because of my special needs, I would do best as the only pet in the household—but don't worry, I do get along with other dogs!
