Joey is a goofy dog with a sweet spirit. He arrived at SARA as a newborn back in 2021. All of his 5 siblings found homes but Joey is still on the search! In his previous foster home, Joey was scared of new noises and strangers. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to fully decompress before he was returned to SARA. At our sanctuary, he is a completely different dog. He plays with the other canines in the yard and runs up to staff to give an affectionate full body wag and lots of licks. He is obsessed with squeaky toys and will do anything for a treat. He even has a smile that is sure to make you laugh! Because Joey has grown up in the country, his introduction to city life at his previous foster home was a shock. Joey needs a home that will give him time to decompress and help him confidently walk through life so that he can enjoy fun adventures.
